Drinks at No. 5 (30 Jan '09)

Decided to let our hair down and went for some drinks. My friends brought us to this bar at Emerald Hill. 1-for-1 martinis from 9pm till 1 am. Shiok ah! XD

It was a good time catching up with everybody at CG last night. It's been a while since we last have so many people turned up. After our regular session, had a small celebration to snack and make merry.

Decided to buy lotsa fruits for my detoxification, after the "ruinous" feasting for the past month. Went for a meeting and came back to an "impromptu" altar at my workplace... Thanks guys, for welcoming me back :P

Mom's Birthday dinner (05 Jan '09)

Took my mom to the Sakura Buffet at Admiralty Park, to celebrate her birthday. Dad had to work, so he couldn't join us. We sat from 6.30 till around 8 plus, was fully stuffed by the time we left the place...

New Sandals (04 Jan '09)

Alas, my trustee sandals have given up on me after less than a year's usage. Well, at least they accompanied me to Hong Kong and Nepal. Had to go and grab a new pair; if not I think the blisters from wearing my japanese slippers will grow worse. Bought a cheaper pair from teh same shop; not expecting this pair to last till the end of the year :p

hmm, couldn't find any website or photos of the restaraunt for this. But the food is really great! Went there with two other friends on New Year's Eve for supper. Loved the cheese platter. The house pour wasn't really that great; but the service was great! The waiters and waitresses were friendly and prompt, and even the owner came around the tables chit-chatting. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience. Must try the ribs!

Couldn't decide what to do on New year's eve, so went to the Marina Square branch with a couple of colleagues after half-day in office. The japanese desserts were delicious; but the service were actrocious! My friend waited for about 40 minutes for her order, and it didn't come. When it came to settle the bill, the cashier was a bit "ka lang ka bo"; so much so that the "goodie good auntie" (who never really throw a tantrum one) had to go to the cashier and check out the billing. :p

Heard the service at the Central branch is better. But dun think I wanna try this for some time yet...
