Brenda's and Mel's Appreciation Brunch (28 Apr '10)

This morning we held an appreciation brunch after staff meeting for Brenda, a contract staff who's been a great help to us at the office; as well for Mel, who's getting ready to go to the States. Farewells are always poignant and a bit sad, but we had our fair share of hearty eating and blessings before that. So all the best to Brenda on her new job, as well as "Nana" Mel on her new life journey!

P.S. My Digi-maru is approaching it's 3rd year liao, getting a bit slow and cranky liao :P pardon the color quality of the pics!

Lunch at Vanilla Pod (18 Apr '10)

Yesterday went to lunch at Vanilla Pod after church service. The CG people insisted on treating me to post-birthday lunch, so "bo pian" gotta "jiak pwee pwee" again. XD Thanks guys, for bringing me to such a nice place~

Argh, really not as good as the 1981 one. Watched the 2D version, as heard the 3D version really sucks. Turns out the 2D version wasn't really that fantastic either. Pacing of the story was uneven. The actresses were very beautiful though, typical eye-candies. Couldn't recognised Ralph Fiennes at first, on account of his bushy beard... In my opinion, don't even wait for the DVD.

Science Centre Outing (10 Apr '10)

My brother had free tickets to the Omni Theater and Science Centre, so we went to the place last weekend. It's been a while since I've last been back to the centre, since 12-13 years back. We watched the "Force of Nature" IMAX show. It's pretty neat. I think this is the second time I've been in the IMAX theatre. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. although my bro felt a bit queasy. Guess I shouldn't have dragged him in for the simulator ride prior :D The science centre itself have been revamped, even though I thought I recognized some of the exhibits from my primary school days. There was a lot of people, since it's the weekend. So we only got to enjoy the exhibits on the first level, before adjourning to the McDo for our tea break.

Dinner night out at Acia (09 Apr '10)

Jeanette came back from the States for a short visit. A few of us managed to catch up for dinner together. It is great, because now we hardly have a chance to get together nowadays. Tried this value-for-money joint called Acia at Marina Square. The service was good, friendly waiters and waitresses. And if you ordered the set-meals, it's free-flow soft-drinks, ice-cream and cappuccino. No wonder there were a lot of students hanging out at that place... wait, I should put this in a review instead of the photos page! :p

Haha, nice fluffy chick flick! Good de-stress show, no need brains much. And who wouldn't wanna watch babes (or "she-males" :p, as according to one of the characters in the film) in short shorts and tattoos engaging one another in a meaningful contact sportsman-like manner... I jest :p

Caught this over the Good Friday weekend. Great show! The 3D effects are awesome! The story is pretty tight and good, so the 90 minutes will pass in a flash. A show that will be enjoyed by kids and adults alike~
