haha, re-read this book some weeks ago. It's just so amazing how the Lord will lead me to read certain books to learn or re-visit certain lessons that I've learnt before, in order for me to bring words to those in need of His wisdom.

I didn't realise that this book was written so long ago, till I check the info online. Still it is a good, relevant and much needed book, bringing to mind on why God allows suffering and pain to come into believers' life, and why they aren't to be shunned. Many a times, people tend to look for quick-fixes to problems and abhors suffering. Well, I'm not a masochist or anything, but I do know that I tend to grow more as a person, when He puts me through tough times.

One take-away I have from this book is that "bruised corn will not be crushed forever". Sounds obscure? Go read Isaiah 28:27-28, (KJV).

hehehe, went there with a bunch of friends last night. First time there, tried the pork chop cheesy spaghetti - ici-ban! :D The french toast was also great. The chicken wings were hit and crispy. The 波咯包 was okay only; so was the peanut-butter toast. The mango shaved ice desert is absolutely stupendous~

Sat there for 4 hours, having a cool chill-out with friends. Oh, one irritating thing was our orders were constantly being mixed up. I think one of our servers is a new waitress. Well, the saving grace was that the more experienced crew came around and provided good service.

oh, they keep playing Chinese songs - the audible volume was just loud enough; not so soft till you cannot hear the lyrics, nor so loud till you cannot hear one another talk.

Great movie, not just in terms of the action sequence. Basically a guys' show - lotsa gore, violence and testerone. A little under 2 hours - I guess there's only so much blood and violence the audience can stomach.

My son, thou art never secure in this life, but as long as thou livest,[1] thou shalt always need spiritual armor.

Thou dwellest among enemies, and art assaulted on the right hand and on the left.[2]
