on on course last week...

Nope, not a typo or grammatical error :p Had the privilege of attending a course at SNEF last Thursday and Friday. It was more of a course on decision-making and problem-solving for managers and above; so not really suited for "kuching kurak" like moi.  :p

Still enjoyed the hospitality and the teaching of the trainer - he's terribly witty, reminds me of my "old-bird" type "enciks" from army days - those who actually knows what they are talking about and are not hesistant to transfer the knowledge to you.

Also, get to wake up later than usual, since the training facilities was in town. Aside from the difficulty of getting good and cheap lunches, I got up later than normal for those two days, and was able to go "gai gai" in town for a short while on Thursday evening after 5.30pm.*

Made some new friends - alas, didn't get to pass out my namecards to them :P ah well, maybe will bump into them on the streets; afterall, Singapore's only so big, you know?

-------------------------------------------------------------------

* Most people were/are/will still be stuck in offices. Most of my friends don't leave their office till after 7pm. Some even stay past 8pm. Craqzy workaholic culture we have here.

on writing less these 2 weeks...

yeaps, and it's not because I'm too stuffed from my Thanksgiving dinner or my pre-Christmas feasting. Rather, just very, very the busy. Well, will try to catch up my post counts by regaling you all with what happen to me the last 7 days, so stay tuned... :P

on a slow, slow day in office today...

haha, tis the last month of the year 2007, and plenty of people are clearing their annual leave from my office. Unusually quiet in here - got pros and cons la. Pro is that I get to do all the disgusting stuff without people walking me on them*. Con is that it is TOO quiet, thus engendering a comfortable environment for inducing natural state of rest i.e. makes us sleepy la.

* like dig my nose, yawr... :P

on Hero

Argh, wanted to write about this earlier immediately after I watched the show*; but forgot about it. Now too lazy to follow-up on my writing :p ah well, enjoy the nice nice "pitcher"... :p

* Think I saved the draft on 26 Nov.

Nemesis (1990)

Rating:★★★★
Category:Books
Genre: Science Fiction & Fantasy
Author:Issac Asimov
Great read! A different cuppa tea from the great SF maestro, Issac Asimov. A bit different from his Foundation and Robot series. Nonetheless, you'll easily recognise his instant readability of penmanship, even when the SF terms comes flying at you fast and furious.

Ju Shin Jung Korean Charcoal BBQ Restaurrant

Rating:★★★★
Category:Restaurants
Cuisine: Korean
Location:27 West Coast Highway, #01-18/19, Yess Centre 1F, Singapore (117867).
heh heh, went there with my friends for dinner tonight. Absolutely fantastic korean food! And the best part, the waiters and waitresses cooked the food for us and served us the food off the hotplate immediately! Plenty of fresh vegetable and "kim chi", with large doses of garlic. The "bulgogi" was simply delicious, and the "makguli" wasn't too strong in alcohol content. Families would love it there - they actually have an enclosed play-pen within the restaurant.
