1st shots with my S730

Yes, this is my humble abode, the sanctuary which I share with my brother. A tad messy, abut also where I call home... :P

yea, no matter what, the Camera shake warning keep appearing. So I gotta keep working on steadying my hands, I guess

on a quiet labor day...

Not! :D started off the day by checking the e-mail and stuff. Found out my sister came home real late last night, and was blogging at 4.40-ish a.m?! Doesn't that girl need any sleep?!?! Well, since it's holidays, plus she did worked late this morning*, decided to spare her the "brotherly-concern" talk :p

Not much activities in e-mail and stuff, so decided to help out in the laundry. Mass sms-ed all my friends and loved ones, wishing them a blessed Labor day holiday and wishing them a good day of rest. Well, i guess at close to 10-ish a.m most normal people would have woken up liao; but apparently that's not the case. Some only replied at 5-ish in the evening, so I guessed some of my friends slept their day away...

Chatted to some of my friends on MSN while waiting for the spin cycle to finish. Apparently I was not the only one to wake up early. Some got up to do work on their computer - amazing~ even on a public holiday some would still choose to work! And they wonder why most "civilised and developed" societies are having so many stressed-up and psychologically unbalanced people. :p Well, I think when you can't differentiate between a rest day and a work day, then you are in deep trouble.

Was planning to do alot of things today, "jio" people go play pool la, or go to friends' place to play card or board games la. In the end, figured I gotta go and get a digicam, for my upcoming work trip. So called up a friend and went shopping at Sim Lim's. Bought a new toy (Samsung Digimax S730) which is slightly above my intended budget. However, the salesman and my friend convinced me I needed to get a slightly better camera, so I bit the bullet. However, I guess I have to eat more maggi mee for the rest of my lunches :<

Went home, had a quiet dinner with mom and my brother. Then decided to take my bike out and test my new camera. Had a good time cycling over to Republic POlytechnic and taking some nice shots. Then headed over to the stretch of small road along the coast line to take pictures of night shots across the causeway. Unfortunately, my hands were not that steady - keep getting the camera shake warning icon on the LCD screen of the digicam. Sigh - one should not try to take pics after a bike ride.

I'll not be posting the pics up, unless I want my readers to have motion sickness or eye-pains...

As We Worship You

Ah, keep being hit on the head from on high by the call back to intentional worship again. Wake up call ah... The lyrics kept ringing in my head after reading a fellow blogger's entry on transforming worship

--------------------------------------------------------------------

As We Worship You

VERSE 1:
E
As we worship You
B
Let all the world come and see
C#m
How the mercy we've received from You
A
Can set them free
E
As we worship You
A
Let all this joy that fills our hearts
C#m
Bring a hunger and a hope to those
A
Who've strayed so far

CHORUS:
F#m
As we bow in adoration
E
And stand in reverent awe
A
Show Your majesty and glory
E B
Let Your anointing fall
F#m
As we declare Your name Lord Jesus
E
As the only name who saves
A
May the pow'r of Your salvation
C#m B C#m B
Fill each heart we pray

VERSE 2:
As we worship You
Let all the nations hear our song
The song of Jesus and His blood
That proved His love for all
As we worship You
May all the lost and broken come
May they hear Your still small voice
Call out their names each one

on a simple lunch-in...

haha, this is the final week leading up to my pay-day, so you can guess my bank account is pretty "dry" by now*... So just remember I still haven't opened up my spiced pork cubes (五香肉丁) yet. So I made a plate of Indo-Mie Mee-goreng (dry) with my pork cubes. Tasted pretty good - despite getting my thumbs burnt a bit from not handling the plates and bolls with mittens.

WARNING: Cooking without the proper hand equipment while handling hot plates and bowls from the microwave /oven will result in burnt thumbs fingers, being laughed at from your fellow colleagues and severe loss to ego. :p
