Church 31st Celebration at Suntec (30 Aug '09)

hmm, i'm older than the church! :p Anyway, today had a special anniversary celebration at Suntec. Initially was reluctant to go, because just didn't feel like going. By my CGL called me up last night and "jio jio" me to go with him :p In the end, I was surprisingly ministered by the testimonies I hear during the service. All I can shay ish...

GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS XD

After the service, a few of us from the CG went to have lunch at the Guildhouse at Suntec. It was a great time of fellow-shipping and just chilling out over cozy food on a rainy sleep Sunday afternoon...

Walk along Southern ridges (29 Aug 09)

Yesterday my friends wanna go walk from Harborfront to Kent Ridge park. We stated out quite late, around 10.15 am. By the time, the sun was really hot! Still we amnaged to complete the canopy walk at Kent Ridge park by 1.20 pm in the afternoon. A good workout!

Indian Food (10 Aug '09)

Posting up these really old pics amidst putting up my newer pics. Went to Little India to celebrate buying my Polar-maru, with a sumtuous meal of fried floor and hard-boiled egg. Life is good whenwe can learn to enjoy the simple things ;D

The Proposal (2009)

Rating:★★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Romantic Comedy
This is a very, very, VERY well-crafted chick-flick. Great scripting, great lines, great chemistry. It also wanna makes you wanna believe that beneath every power-hungry, domineering psycho-bitch, there is a lonely sad little girl who's afraid... Oh, and you won't feel emasculated after coming outta that show, because you would have laughed too much from all the funny scenes. Did I also mention the great support cast? Oh, do stay for the credits, more laughter...

P.S. Do go to the official site and watch the bloopers, AFTER you watched the show. If not, they'll be a giveaway to the jokes.

Good breakfast (25 Aug '09)

My friends dared me to post these pics up of what I had for breakfast in office, so here they are.

And all I wanna continue to say is~

The Lord is my good Trainer
I shalt not be in want

He makes me go gym
And do “xiong xiong” circuit training

He restores my health
And guides me in paths of right eating
For his name’s sake

Even though I walk in the canteen of “chai tau kway” and “bur bur char char”
I will fear no temptation
For you are with me
Your word and your Spirit
They comfort me

You prepare a feast before me
in the presence of my “critics” :p
You anoint my bread with oil;
my cup of wine overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

May this brighten up your day! :D

on completing the Singapore Bay Run (16 Aug '09)

Last Sunday went to run the 10km Men's Open section for the Singapore Bay Run (SBR). It's been over a decade since I last took part in any mass run. Went at the behest of a friend in office, who actually wanted to "jio" me for the 21km half-marathon. XD For a person that detests running, that's like asking for my life. I compromised a bit, and joined the 10km run instead. Thankfully, my RT session prepared me a bit for the run, so I did not join this run without training.

My brother also joined with his office friends, so we set out together that morning. We woke up at 5am on a Sunday morning, and went downtown via MRT. On the way, we spotted many of the SBR participants. Some were really "ga rung", and put on number tag and everything. Most were like us, sleepy-faced and yawning.

When the run started, I got separated from my brother and his friends. So I just went on my own way. The beginning part was kinda nightmarish, with people all around me crowding my way. I think I picked up my pace too fast during the first 30 minutes of my run. Think ran about 5plus km, then I stopped for a breather. After that, ran again for another 10 minutes plus, before "punctured out" at the 7km mark. Walk the remaining 3km plus back across the finishing line.

Surprise, surprise, I managed to cross the finishing line within my expected finish time ( which is 70 minutes, plus or minus 10 minute :p) Am glad to have done the race, but it'll be a while before I start yo join in mass runs again. Told mr friends in office if the thought of joining a race ever cross my mind again, will use the medal they gave me to hit myself silly on the head. :D

P.S. realised part of my story got truncated. Here's the full story. Hope it gets published :P
