Wendy's

was walking back to orchard MRT, when came across Wendy's at Liat Towers. Haven't tried it yet, so decided to give it a go. Was shocked to see a long line of people in queue. I waited at least 10 minutes before giving my orders at the counter. The 1/4 Pounder Single classic looked really humongous in the ad, so decided to order that. Then I ordered a baked potato with cheese and broccoli and a vanilla shake to go with it. The order came up to $11.20; minus away $2.80 for the shake and $3.50 for the potato, that makes the burger a whopping $4.90! It was wrapped in aluminum-like wrapping, which upped my expectations a lot. But when I opened the wrapping, the burger wasn't really that big. :( On top of that, there weren't really a lot of green vegetables. They were generous on the onions though. The baked potato isn't that fantastic, the cheese is like the normal run-of-the-mill instant cheese gravy you get in your cinema nachos combo. The vanilla milkshake was a tad too sweet, and difficult to suck up the straw. All in all, a disappointing first experience. I think I'll stick to carl's Junior if I need a burger-fix the next time. But there's still hope, as I haven't tried Wendy's chilly beef with their crispy fries...
