An Japanese samurai epic, of the old school film genre. Has lotsa blood and action, with moments of waiting in suspense.A philosophical contest of bushido, with a morbid Japanese fixation of death and violence, punctuated with humor. A truly Japanese movie that must be watched on the big screen to fully appreciate the theatrics. Unfortunately, the scissors of the censors has struck again, and there are parts that are obviously censored...
