Was pumped from watching Rise of the Planet of the Apes, so decided to borrow the dvd from my friend to watch the 2001 "remake" of the 1960s original. The story was a let-down, even though the make-up special effects were pretty amazing for its time. Didn't really like the cliff-hanger ending, considering they didn't even make a sequel...
