24/7 Day 5: Live For ME!

Eh, today really had problem waking up. I woke up to the alarm at 3am, close my eyes, re-opend them and found the clock telling the time at 4.20am! XD Quickly went to wash up. My dad was up in the kitchen, readying himself to go for the morning shift. Asked me why I was up, and told him so.

Managed to flag a cab, and was at church at 4.40-ish. By the time I reached the prayer room, Andy and the rest had already started. Still, it's interesting that I got to listen to Andy's sharing.Didn't stay for the 6am to 7.30am session, as I had to reach office by 8.30am.

Here is my take-away from the morning session.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Chronicles 15
Take Courage like Asa!

Joshua 24:14-15

"Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."

~Highlights are my own, as God is telling me the moment (Now); and it's fearing God and serving Him, not either or; and not with some faithfulness but with all faithfulness.

Galations 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Colossians 2:6-7

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Interesting use of tense...

Present Tense - Continue
Present Continuous Tense - Overflowing
Past Tense - Rooted, built up, strengthened

Not about bloodlines or faith of our forefathers...
