Not much activities in e-mail and stuff, so decided to help out in the laundry. Mass sms-ed all my friends and loved ones, wishing them a blessed Labor day holiday and wishing them a good day of rest. Well, i guess at close to 10-ish a.m most normal people would have woken up liao; but apparently that's not the case. Some only replied at 5-ish in the evening, so I guessed some of my friends slept their day away...
Chatted to some of my friends on MSN while waiting for the spin cycle to finish. Apparently I was not the only one to wake up early. Some got up to do work on their computer - amazing~ even on a public holiday some would still choose to work! And they wonder why most "civilised and developed" societies are having so many stressed-up and psychologically unbalanced people. :p Well, I think when you can't differentiate between a rest day and a work day, then you are in deep trouble.
Was planning to do alot of things today, "jio" people go play pool la, or go to friends' place to play card or board games la. In the end, figured I gotta go and get a digicam, for my upcoming work trip. So called up a friend and went shopping at Sim Lim's. Bought a new toy (Samsung Digimax S730) which is slightly above my intended budget. However, the salesman and my friend convinced me I needed to get a slightly better camera, so I bit the bullet. However, I guess I have to eat more maggi mee for the rest of my lunches :<
Went home, had a quiet dinner with mom and my brother. Then decided to take my bike out and test my new camera. Had a good time cycling over to Republic POlytechnic and taking some nice shots. Then headed over to the stretch of small road along the coast line to take pictures of night shots across the causeway. Unfortunately, my hands were not that steady - keep getting the camera shake warning icon on the LCD screen of the digicam. Sigh - one should not try to take pics after a bike ride.
I'll not be posting the pics up, unless I want my readers to have motion sickness or eye-pains...

ReplyDeleteJust got off the TV watching the news update. Seems like Labor day today was not a day of rest for people around the world, what with the strikes and protests for better wages, less work, more protectionism, blah blah blah...
ReplyDeleteAs my friend wisely puts it, we should try to loosen up... Go lay ourselves down in a hammock or something
