on slow morning on the way to work...

yeaps, yesterday, the traffic was crawling all the way from the start of the BKE till about the start of the PIE*. I didn't realise how bad the jam and the snail pace until i noted the bus took 25 mins to clear a stretch of road it usually did under 10 mins. The reason for the slow-down? People were driving slower past the site of an accident. It was quite a serious one, as the front of the car was smashed in.

After that stretch, traffic was smooth-sailing. I really don't get the mentality of the motorists who slowed down to take a look. Were they trying to find out the licence number of the damaged car so that they can buy 4D**? Or were they just gawking at the scene of carnage?
