Text: 2 Corinthians 1:12-14
Introduction
Romans 12:1 -> G.A.P. Good, Acceptable & Perfect Will of God
1. For Integrity’s sake, let’s review last Sunday’s sermon
2. To grow and guard our Personal Integrity, we must pursue:
A. Integrity of Confidence (v12a)
"For our confidence in this…" (ASV) “Now this is our boast” (NIV)
Basis of Boast upon who and what; not necessarily a bad thing.
è Confidence
When Paul boasts,
1. he boasts always in the Lord
2. he boasts about virtues that comes from the Lord, or weaknesses and deliverance from this weaknesses
3. he boasts to point ministry/people to God
B. Integrity of Conscience (v12b)
“the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God…”
“Reputation is what you are supposed to be, Integrity is what you are.”
Prov. 22:1 – If a good name is much more desirable than gold or riches, how much more of worth is a person’s actual conduct?
Wheel barrow analogy – what drives the other?
3G Conscience – Godliness, Growth, Grace
Live honestly, wisely, humbly.
C. Integrity of Conduct (v12c-14)
“…we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you”
Integrity vs Hypocrisy
Conduct must be the same for everyone, to everyone!
Transparency – What you see is what you get
4 Areas to guard:
Finances, Sexual morality, Tongue and Against Exaggerated Accomplishments
Desire to Finish well!

Text in black is the sermon notes outline given by church. Text in green are the thoughts I jotted down from the sermon. Haha, came to service immediately after my return from Desaru. Am glad I came for this sermon, as it affirmed certain things that God spoke to me during the retreat. Am also glad to hear Pastor Tony’s opening sharing of his struggles, growth and grace in God.
Sounds like a powerful sermon! Will have to get the CD when I'm back :)
