on my stomach being my God...

argh, after such a lifting previous entry, have to write about one of my "sin" again... :P

been seriously pigging out. Last night went out with my guy friends. One of them is going to leave Singapore soon, to pursue his Masters in Economics in London. So decided to have a get-together before his leaving next month. Initially we were gonna have sushi; but my friend just had this craving for "tulang". For those who don't know what is "tulang", it is an Indian dish, with large pieces of mutton/beef bones cooked in tomato and spices. The unique thing about this dish is it's all red, and you are supposed to suck the marrow from the bones.

Anyway, we met up at Newton MRT and went all the way down to Adam Road food center, because that's where we went the last time. Unfortunately, the whole place was not opened. We asked a nonchalant looking guy there, who said the whole place is not opened, due to the fact they just had a major cleaning up session in the afternoon. In the end, ended up at Newton Circus*. We still ordered soup "tulang", with other side dishes such as "hung hir" (BBQ stingray with chilli sauce), BBQ chicken wing, half-boiled "see hum" (cockles) and "or-luat" (oyster omelet). Then to top it off, my friends ordered 3 bottles of Baron's beer (to go with the sumptuous fare), and sugar cane with lemon-lime juice at the end of the feast (to detox the alcohol and oil).

yea, after dat heinous round yesterday, I just have to do some exercise today. So just now went to swim a couple of laps in the swimming pool at my local neighborhood swimming pool. Am glad there are no pesky children's class today to take up space in the swimming pool. But my stamina is going down. Last time** can swim 25-30 laps in 90 mins. Now swim barely 20 laps in 60 mins. Must be all the extra load from yesterday's binging.

After my swim, decided to go library for a while, to enjoy free air-con as well as do some reading. The weather wasn't looking good also - and it did poured real hard after I was barely 15 minutes in the library. So no choice have to settle lunch outside. Went to McDonalds at Civic Center to try the twister fries. Not bad la, just like the A&W's Curly fries. but I think I also just undid whatever exercise I tried to do in the morning lor...

There was this fat tom-cat that was idling nearby where I had my lunch just now. Offered him a piece of McNugget, but he sniffed disdainfully at it. But was still friendly when I patted and stroked him just now - acted like a kitten, even though he's a full grown cat^. But sure have sharp claws - he was dong the retractable claws thingie, so I din mussed him up too much. How I wished I can be a cat! But dat's another entry for another day...

Should seriously start cutting down on rich food, man...

* yea, one full circle, from Newton to Adam Road, and back to Newton again

** erm, about 5 years ago... I think
