on visiting the zoo, listening to Stephen Tong and finally sending my 1st application

Last Saturday went to visit the zoo with 3 other friends. One of them had this company card that allows free access for 4 people. So I was a "free-rider", due to the generousity of my friend*. And thank God for the card, can't imagine how much they are charging per entry for visitor to the zoo. Then again, your ah-meng (THE orang utan), Inuka (a polar bear) and the cows, ducks, wallabies, penguins, spiders, bats and so on, so forth have to eat. And so do the people who work at the zoo**. So I guess the $15 entrance fees per person is "justifiable".

Been a long time since I last went to the Zoo. Think the last time (or was it the ONLY time?! ) went there was in primary school. After that, I never did go back, not even when they had the Night Safari and all the funny attractions. So I kinda enjoyed last Sat, looking at all the animals. We saw some funny antics at the chimpanzee section. One of the chimps wanted food from us. In order to get our attention from us, it threw stuff at us, even its own shit. Thank God the enclosure was too wide for the "projectiles" to fly across to hit us. Me and another guy was just laughing my head off at the chimp's antics. Cast not thy shit at others...

We covered only two-thirds of the zoo dat afternoon. Din have time and energy to walk the whole place, cos the sun was blazing hot. so by 6pm, we call it quits and went for Ben & Jerry's ice cream/. I was a B&J "virgin", and was absolutely enthralled by its superb flavor. I ordered Mudslide and New York Super fudge. totally chocolatey flavour, wid a dash of Irish cream for the New York Super fudge. I was like a cat on cream . Wonder why they have it at more places in Singapore, sure can give Hagen Daaz a run for its $$$.

Reverend Stephen Tong is back! Went to his sunday evening sermon at Newton Life Church just at the start of the week. He spoke as if never went for his heart surgical operations like that - still chirpy and forceful as ever.  He continued on the the book of James, on Chapter "Tiga"^ of taming one's tongue. Need to get that in my thick skull, cos sometimes i talk too much for my own good.

Last night I finally sent out my very first job application. Took me a while to input all the information online. That's the trouble with online application, got to go through pages and pages of filling up your curriculum vitae (CV) and personal data. Well, in this electronic age, guess it can't be helped. Plus another way of saving trees (& cut down on postage fees)
