Hula Girls/ Hula gâru (2006)

After watching "facing the Giants" (basically your "testerone-y film" for guys) needed to watch a "chick flick" to balance out. Went to catch this film on my Monday off-day. It's a great film - along the lines of "Water Boys" and "Swing Girls", you know, how a group of newbies beats incredible odds to change the perspective of the people close to them.

    I watched it on the plane awhile ago...thought it was a pretty good movie. Definitely better than the standard Hollywood fare. If you want to check out another good Japanese movie, I heard "Udon" was good as well. If not blame Andy for the recommendation. Haha.

    haha, think the local critics gave "Udon" a so-so rating. I'm not really raving about noodle-eating, so probably wait for DVD bah... :D
