on a nice day of rest~

Woke up earlier than usual, around 4am. Think it's because I slept earlier last night. Anyway, the song "Jehovah-jireh My Provider" was ringing in my head. Think overdosed from yesterday's house cleansing party. :P Just sang the song in my head while praying through random stuff, before dropping off to sleep. Next time open my eyes, my mom was shaking me, telling me it's 7am, why am I not heading off to work. Then I told her I got off-in-lieu today.

Woke up and bid my sister goodbye. Didn't manage to catch her coming back from her KL trip last night. ASked her how come she was so late in returning home, she told me that her friend got lost driving along the way; so what was a 3-hour journey became a 5-hour journey. Well, thank God she still made it back safely.

Well, since I'm already up, decided to hit the internet and post some early replies. The sky was looking kinda weird and cloudy, wasn't sure if I could go for my swim. But then the glorious sum shone down around 8.30am, and I rode my bike to the pool for a quick dip. It was refreshingly empty - must the people fearing the 7th month thingie. Well, I'm not complaining, cos that means more space for me to swim in.

What I do wanna gripe about was that there was this couple in the pool, where the guy was trying to teach the woman to swim. Unfortunately, I think the guy wasn't professionally trained, and it looks more like a groping and pawing session. Urgh! I just did my laps pronto, and got out of the pool, before being blinded by the sight. :D Anyway, the sun began to blaze real hot, and I dun wanna be "chao tah-ed" on my ride back home.

Was planning to meet up 2 friends separately. Only managed to meet up with 1, cos the other gotta spend quality time with his family. Still, it was a good time. Turns out I was an "answered prayer", cos my friend has been bemoaning to God on the cut-down of her social life due to the busyness of her life. Well, glad to spend time just chilling out and fellow-shipping over food*.

After that sow lunch, went to SKS to soak up the Word. Wasn't planning on buying stuff, cos still have a couple of unread books lying around. But couldn't resist buying "Simply Christian" by Tom Wright, as I browse through the pages. It's pretty straightforward, written in a conversational tone, evangelistic yet non-threatening. Hmm, looking forward to reading it...

Came home and chatted to mom for a while. She just came back from watching "Money No Enough 2", and we shared some thoughts on what we thought about the movie. Had my dinner while my bro went for his jog. Now chilling out and blogging~

Ah, the perfect way to spend a day~ relaxed, carefree, with no agenda.
