God works in amazing ways. And we, at Walking on Water, know that He has divinely brought us together to be - in many ways - a band of sisters, musicians and ministers. Ours is a unique make-up of Christian women musicians who are cross-cultural and span a wide age gap. We knew we would last when we discovered our shared love for the gospel, R&B, funk and jazz musical genres. Through the band's growing ministry, God also strengthens our individual callings towards music and missions, and ignites our passion for songwriting.
We count out talent and songs as gifts from God the Father. We feel blessed and privileged that He is communicating His heart through the songs we sing. Each song is born out of our individual triumphs, trials and frustrations, joys and challenges of living Godly lives in the midst of an ever-increasingly corrupt world. Even today, these songs continue to transform our hearts.
Each one of us at Walking on Water has a story to share about His mercies in our lives. We were all once lost and alone in our personal struggles, but today we are slowly but surely walking the road to true significance together. We wish to share this Joy and Hope, which we have found. May our songs – to and about Jesus – transform the hearts of many who hear them and give them this same breakthrough and victory!
Our vision is for Walking on Water to be a channel for God’s heart to be poured into (not exclusively): youths and women-in-crisis, people who are forgotten or invisible and people in the music industry, in our nation and beyond. It is our heart’s desire that God would use our ordinary lives in His extraordinary ways to bless people, to bring the Life of Jesus to many and to be vessels for His glory.

Into Our Faith is the long awaited debut CD from one of Singapore’s most well known Christian bands, Walking On Water. Recorded ‘live’ off their last gig before bassist Mylene Ng left for a two year hiatus to Australia, Into Our Faith depicts the band members’ spiritual journey over the past three years.
The collection starts with a piece inspired by Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, and continues to weave in and out of themes based on theological contention, late night musings and relationships. Sincere, heartfelt and honest lyrics run through these gospel songs such as World Fall Apart (‘with my world crumbling around me/and my life falling apart’) and You See Me (‘Lord help me see/my life is worthy in your eyes’), written during particularly trying times. And the nice thing about the CD is that the sleeves are peppered with short background introductions behind each song.
Stylistically the versatile Walking On Water tackles pop, R&B, funk to rap, usual of the band members’ combined influences. Into Our Faith adds to the revival of locally written gospel music, the kind that significantly speak to us during the ups and downs of our journey in faith.
