on back to maths class at work...

ouch, my poor head... :p Kidding! Our trainers from Holland came in today office to start impart knowledge about digital audio and stuff. Today was a refresher course for those who took the course about a year back. It was physics (what is a sound wave? -  Haas effect - Comb filter effect - Stereo-phony - Surround Sound ) and A.Maths combined ("What is log100? - what is log1000?"*)

The physics part, I still can take it. When it comes to the mathematics part, I totally zonked out. The rest of my colleagues had fun watching me struggling to comprehend some of the maths. The trainer, a sprightly gentleman in his 70s, was going on about the art and science of doing recording the classical method. I really thank God for this man's heart to serve. And he's a technical whiz to boot, the things he and the other man (in his 60s, I believe) do in the studio and workshop with only a smalled powered-tool saw and a a half round-file - poof, c'est un miracle!

Hopefully can survive the next 2 days of training...

*I think tonight I gonna have a nightmare, with that certain voice of my high-school teacher going, "Mark? Of course you'll get a mark. But 1 mark over infinity is still ZERO mark..." Arrgh, 饶了我吧,Mr. Meah! :D
