this morning woken up by my mobile phone alarm. Forgotten to turn it off and it broke my blissful slumber at 5.30am*. Switched it off and went back to sleep. The next thing I knew, the sun was shining high and bright at 9am. Got up, made my first cuppa and plonked myself in front of the laptop, playing my Newgrounds latest game, Feudalism. Pretty addictive action-strategy game, completed it around 1pm plus. Probably will try to complete with other characters later :p
Initially wanted to go swimming before lunch, since weather is so sunny and hot. But the Feudalism game kept me from this pursuit. Then after lunch cannot immediately swim mah, so I headed out of the house after 1.30pm and went to the Yishun public swimming pool** for a dip. Started my laps at around 2-ish, but the weather was simply too hot. Even the water was warm to the touch. At least there weren't that many people, because of the extreme heat. Swam for around 50 minutes and got out, before my brains get fried; as well as the children's swimming class were starting.
Hitched the MRT back to Causeway point. Wanted to go Ya Kun for kopi, but there simply were too many people drinking at that little joint. So I hopped over to the new HO-CAfe joint inside the Civics centre, and had my "yin yong" and "thick toast with chicken floss and special mayo-condensed milk spread". After that, chill out at the library and got myself a few interesting reads. Came home to catch up on my blogging... hmm, better do dinner before my gaming starts again...

*Yea, I wake up that early on weekdays, because I stay in the North, and my workplace is in the East. Needs to get onto the 6.30-ish bus in order to get to office by 7.45a.m, so that don't have to rush with 2/3s of the population going to school and work.
** the nearest public pool to my place, Woodlands, is still under renovation works after 3 months...
