Yesterday was invited to attend the 9 a.m. service at a friend's church. The church is doing a series on the book of Hosea, and it's title "Knowing and Loving God". Here's what I got outta yesterday's morning's sermon:

How we respond to God in our lives!

What is the king and leaders supposed to delight in?

Deuteronomy 17:18-20

 

Unholy People (7:8, 11)

Mockers = fools, people with no regard for God, or His word, or His king or people

 

Deut. 7:3-6 God frowns upon Israel to intermarry with other nations, because these people will lead them to worship other gods.

 

V11 – political alliances – dependence on mortal and human means for safeguard the nation
