on verbal gaffe that started off the day...

just now my colleague were showing to us a magazine he borrowed from the library. It was a magazine on running for fitness and health.

My other colleague was browsing through the articles in the magazine when she suddenly exclaimed,

"Wa, run for 40 minutes and no PILES, die already like that..."

The whole team of us just popped our heads up from our cubicles and go, "Huh? 'Lir gong see mi'?**"

"Aiya." She said "I said, the person run for 40 minutes, no PILES la..."

[me] "PILES? really ah?"

[My colleague] "Ya lar. Aiyo, you donch know ah? P - U - L - S- E, PILES la...

[Me, eyes blink blink] "P - U - L - S - E? ooohhh PULSE..."

[My colleague, still not comprehending] "Ya lar, what do you think I meant?"

[Me] "Er, you said PILES, as in you know, 痔疮..."

[My colleague,, eyes blink blink] "Oh... hahahaha"
